Beacon Veterinary Specialists is a criticalist-led 24/7 Emergency & Specialty practice seeking a Veterinary Clinical Services Supervisor (Training) to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced clinical leader who is passionate about strengthening technical skills and creating a structured, supportive training environment while upholding the highest standards of patient care.

This position plays a key role in the growth and development of our clinical support team, partnering closely with hospital leadership to support training, onboarding, skill development, and clinical consistency across departments. This is a 70% clinical floor, 30% administrative leadership role with a strong emphasis on hands-on training, mentorship, and floor support.

Pay: $85,000 – $100,000 per year

What You’ll Do

Lead Clinical Training & Development

  • Oversee training and skill development for clinical support staff across the hospital
  • Provide hands-on coaching, instruction, and real-time feedback on the clinical floor
  • Help ensure team members are trained to perform confidently, efficiently, and in alignment with hospital standards
  • Partner with leadership to identify training needs and support ongoing professional growth

Support Onboarding & Floor Readiness

  • Facilitate a smooth and consistent onboarding experience for new clinical team members
  • Guide team members through training plans, skill progression, and transition to independent floor responsibilities
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to ensure new hires are set up for long-term success
  • Reinforce training expectations and monitor progress during onboarding periods

Promote Clinical Excellence & Consistency

  • Model professionalism, teamwork, and a high standard of patient care
  • Support hospital-wide training consistency across ER and Specialty departments
  • Reinforce best practices, workflows, and hospital protocols
  • Serve as a clinical resource for team members, helping strengthen confidence and technical execution

Mentor & Support Team Growth

  • Provide coaching, encouragement, and developmental feedback to team members at varying skill levels
  • Support staff in building clinical confidence, expanding technical abilities, and pursuing growth opportunities
  • Assist in identifying strengths, gaps, and opportunities for continued learning
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement

Partner with Leadership

  • Work closely with Clinical Services leadership to support departmental goals and training priorities
  • Help maintain alignment in standards, communication, and expectations across teams
  • Contribute to a positive, engaged, and collaborative clinical environment
  • Support additional floor leadership needs as needed in a fast-paced hospital setting

What We’re Looking For

  • Active RVT license required
  • 6+ years of veterinary experience required
  • Experience in Specialty and/or ER required
  • Prior leadership, training, or mentorship experience
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence working in a fast-paced hospital environment
